This body of work was born over the summer whilst teaching in NYC. Having not been in the city for a any lengthy period of time, during the last two years of my MA, I felt detached and lonely. A friend gave me a Mamiya RZ, the tool I thought I no longer had access to. To overcome the distance I was experiencing, I began to photograph the females who came into my life. Brief encounters and fleeting friendships that were enacted upon for my lens. This is a work in progress..
